Arcane magic involves the direct manipulation of mystic energies. It tends to be flashier and more dramatic than divine magic, and includes many of the iconic magic spells (fireball, lightning bolt, etc).
Musty old tomes lining scholarly libraries are filled with arcane spells that can be learned and copied by those with the proper abilities.
